The eye is the mirror to the soul. Well at least the eyes will tell you a lot about a person, the gaze, comfort or discomfort, aroused or not. Hostility or hospitality. I wouldn't say that you can read the soul nor if the person is fake.

In general in Northern Europe you have eye contact for 1.5 seconds, just the fact it is longer than that tells me something about the other person. Be more aware, notice yourself next time.
